Hopae, a fast-growing digital identity platform, is hiring a Back End Developer in Seoul. This is a full-time, hybrid role for a professional with 3+ years of experience in backend development using Node.js and TypeScript. You will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing scalable and secure backend systems for a global user base. The ideal candidate has experience in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment and is interested in digital identity or cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Design & Development: Architect and develop robust, scalable, and durable backend systems.
  • API Development: Build and maintain RESTful APIs and WebSocket connections for secure and fast integrations.
  • Performance Optimization: Continuously improve system speed, reliability, and security to ensure a top-notch user experience.
  • Collaboration: Partner with product, frontend, and operations teams to create seamless solutions.
  • Code Excellence: Write clean, efficient code with a focus on scalability and maintainability.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in backend development, with strong skills in Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with database technologies like MySQL and MongoDB, and a solid understanding of RESTful API and WebSocket development. Experience with microservices architecture and Docker is also required.
  • Environment: Experience in a high-growth startup or a similar fast-paced environment.
  • Interests: An interest in digital identity or cybersecurity technologies.
