Key Responsibilities

• Data-driven Solutions and Digital Innovation:
  • Develop and refine data pipelines, microservices, and automated workflows to address development challenges.
  • Create data-driven intelligence tools for actionable insights to inform policy, programme design, and resource allocation.
  • Document and share technical best practices, standards, and workflows for replication within UNDP and partner institutions.
  • Organize briefings/demonstrations of successful digital pilots.
• Partnership Development and Technical Advisory:
  • Support partnerships focused on digital innovation in development cooperation.
  • Provide technical advisory during partner consultations and project design.
  • Contribute to adapting Korean digital solutions for developing country contexts.
  • Assist in preparing technical components for partnership proposals.
  • Support capacity-building workshops and knowledge-sharing events.
• Knowledge Management and Innovation:
  • Identify opportunities for improving development cooperation through digital innovation.
  • Support research and analysis on digital transformation in development cooperation.
  • Contribute to policy briefs and knowledge products on digital innovation.
  • Assist in documenting best practices and lessons learned.
  • Support efforts to streamline USPC's project and knowledge management systems.
• Other Support Work:
  • Support outreach and communications activities for USPC.
  • Assist with administrative processes, including internship selection.

Qualifications

• Education:
  • Master’s degree in International Development, International Relations, Environmental Policy, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, Information Systems, Physics, Language Science, or a related field.
  • OR Bachelor’s degree in the above fields with an additional two years of qualifying experience.
• Experience:
  • Master's degree holders: No professional work experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree holders: Minimum of two years of professional experience in software development, data management, digital solutions, digital policy, or related fields, preferably in a public sector or international organization context.
• Required Skills:
  • Experience in large-scale data analysis related to development cooperation.
  • Experience in designing digital systems or platforms in development cooperation contexts.
• Desired Skills:
  • Experience conceptualizing and building data-centric prototypes.
  • Experience setting up ETL/ELT processes for collecting, cleaning, and organizing development cooperation data.
  • Experience with natural language processing and integration.
  • Knowledge of the ICT sector, including working with public and private sectors, understanding digital transformation in development contexts, and familiarity with the ICT ecosystem and key stakeholders.
  • Development sector knowledge, including experience with international organizations or development projects, capacity building, knowledge transfer, and familiarity with Korean development policies.
• Languages: Fluency in English and Korean is required. Working knowledge of other UN languages is an asset.

자격 요건

• 학력:
  • 국제 개발, 국제 관계, 환경 정책 및/또는 컴퓨터 과학, 소프트웨어 공학, 공학, 정보 시스템, 물리학, 언어 과학 또는 기타 관련 분야의 석사 학위(또는 이에 상응하는 학위)가 필수입니다.
  • 또는 위에서 언급된 분야의 학사 학위(또는 이에 상응하는 학위)와 함께 2년 이상의 관련 경력이 있는 경우에도 고려됩니다.
• 경력:
  • 석사 학위 소지자는 전문 경력이 필요하지 않습니다.
  • 학사 학위 소지자는 소프트웨어 개발, 데이터 관리, 디지털 솔루션, 디지털 정책 또는 관련 분야에서 최소 2년 이상의 전문 경력이 필요하며, 공공 부문 또는 국제 기구 근무 경험이 우대됩니다.
• 필수 기술:
  • 개발 협력과 관련된 대규모 데이터 분석 경험.
  • 개발 협력 맥락에서 디지털 시스템 또는 플랫폼 설계 경험.
• 우대 기술:
  • 데이터 중심 프로토타입을 개념화하고 구축한 경험.
  • 개발 협력 데이터를 수집, 정리 및 구성하기 위한 ETL/ELT 프로세스 설정 경험.
  • 자연어 처리 및 통합 경험.
  • ICT 분야 지식 (공공 및 민간 부문과의 협력 경험, 개발 맥락에서의 디지털 전환 이해, ICT 생태계 및 주요 이해관계자에 대한 지식 포함).
