Key Responsibilities

• Quality Control: Perform English to Korean review tasks, lead the arbitration process for quality issues, and respond to client escalations. You will monitor the performance of linguistic resources to maintain high standards.
• Linguistic Asset Management: Maintain and update linguistic assets such as glossaries and translation memories for life sciences clients.
• Resource & Team Support: Support the onboarding and assessment of new Korean clinical research linguists, and recommend resources based on performance data and client needs. You will also help create and update style guides.
• Financial Oversight: Closely monitor and manage Korean translation expenses to ensure they remain within the budget.
• Regulation & Strategy: Apply your knowledge of Korean life sciences and clinical research regulations to provide added value to clients. You will also conduct monthly capacity planning to ensure adequate resources are in place.

Requirements

• Experience: 3+ years of linguistic experience in English to Korean life sciences translation, with a specialization in clinical research.
• Education: A bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field is required. A degree in a life sciences-related field (e.g., Medicine, Pharmacy) is also acceptable. A Master's degree is a plus.
• Languages: Native-level fluency in Korean and a good command of English.
• Skills: Strong understanding of machine translation post-editing, CAT tools, and automated QA tools. You must be able to work both independently and as part of a team, manage multiple priorities, and have excellent communication skills.
• Mindset: A problem-solving mindset and a keen interest in the technology and processes of the language services industry.

• 재정 관리: 한국어 번역 비용을 면밀히 모니터링하고 예산 내에서 유지되도록 관리합니다.
• 규제 및 전략: 한국의 생명 과학 및 임상 연구 규정에 대한 지식을 활용하여 고객에게 부가 가치를 제공합니다. 또한 적절한 리소스가 생산을 지원할 수 있도록 월간 역량 계획을 수립합니다.

자격 요건

• 경력: 임상 연구 분야에 특화된 영어-한국어 생명 과학 번역에서 3년 이상의 언어 관련 경력.
• 학력: 번역, 언어학 또는 관련 분야의 학사 학위 필수. 생명 과학 관련 분야(예: 의학, 약학)의 학위도 인정됩니다. 석사 학위는 우대됩니다.
• 언어: 한국어 모국어 수준 및 영어 능통.
• 기술: 기계 번역 포스트에디팅(Post-editing), CAT 툴, 자동화된 QA 툴에 대한 깊은 이해. 독립적으로 또는 팀의 일원으로 일할 수 있는 능력, 여러 우선순위를 관리할 수 있는 능력, 뛰어난 소통 능력이 필요합니다.
• 마인드: 문제 해결에 중점을 둔 사고방식과 언어 서비스 산업의 기술 및 프로세스에 대한 깊은 관심.
