ProtoPie is hiring a Backend Software Engineer to build and maintain APIs powering its world-class prototyping platform used by Google, Microsoft, Meta, and more. You'll collaborate on backend architecture using Spring Boot and functional languages like Clojure, enhancing performance, scalability, and enterprise support across AWS infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain backend APIs using Java, Spring Boot
  • Manage AWS cloud infrastructure and deployments
  • Support enterprise customers and ensure backend stability
  • Collaborate with teams using Clojure, PostgreSQL, MySQL, AWS EKS/ECS

Tech Stack Highlights:

  • Languages: Clojure, Kotlin, Java, Spring
  • DB & Cloud: PostgreSQL, MySQL, AWS (EKS, ECS, S3, Redshift)
  • DevOps: GitHub Actions, Terraform, CodePipeline
  • Tools: Jira, GitHub

Requirements:

  • 5+ years with Kotlin/Java & Spring
  • 1+ year experience with functional languages (e.g., Clojure, Scala)
  • Strong DB schema design & API development experience
  • Basic English conversation skills and global travel readiness

Preferred:

  • Hands-on AWS and Kubernetes experience
  • Deep network understanding and JVM insight
  • Strong documentation and GitHub or blog portfolio
