The Sendbird Data Infrastructure team is looking for a Software Engineer in Seoul, South Korea. This full-time role is for a professional who will operate mission-critical, large-scale databases distributed globally and optimize data layers. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), extensive experience operating container orchestration platforms (like Kubernetes and AWS EKS), and is familiar with monitoring and troubleshooting large-scale systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Database Operations: Operate mission-critical, large-scale databases distributed globally in a cloud environment.
  • Performance & Availability: Provide database-centric solutions to ensure performance and availability that meet diverse customer needs.
  • Task Execution: Identify and execute challenging improvement tasks related to flexible database scalability, cost efficiency, and operational automation.
  • System Design: Design optimal data management systems and review models in response to business expansion and the discovery of new services.

Requirements

  • Technical: A strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform. Experience operating and managing services on container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (K8s) or AWS EKS. Familiarity with monitoring and troubleshooting large-scale systems using tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Databases: Experience using NoSQL databases such as Search Engines, Redis/Valkey, or MongoDB.
  • Development: Proficient in developing and writing automation scripts using Python or Go.
  • Collaboration: Strong communication skills to actively communicate and collaborate with various departments.

자격 요건

  • 기술: Terraform과 같은 도구를 활용한 IaC(Infrastructure as Code)에 대한 높은 이해도. Kubernetes(K8s) 또는 AWS EKS와 같은 컨테이너 오케스트레이션 플랫폼 운영 및 관리 경험. Prometheus, Grafana 등을 활용한 대규모 시스템 모니터링 및 트러블슈팅 능력.
  • 데이터베이스: Search 엔진, Redis/Valkey, MongoDB 등 NoSQL 데이터베이스 사용 경험.
