Ritual is looking for a Validator Engineer to own the uptime and reliability of their validators. In this remote role, you will be crucial in building a sovereign execution layer for AI. You'll be responsible for managing all aspects of the validator lifecycle, from automated deployments and upgrades to providing technical support and documentation for validator operators. The ideal candidate has over 4 years of experience running high-availability distributed systems, is proficient in Go and Rust, and has a deep understanding of blockchain protocol concepts.
Key Responsibilities
- Deployment and Automation: Build and automate bare-metal and cloud deployments for validators using existing simulation frameworks.
- Orchestration: Orchestrate client upgrades, parameter changes, and hard-forks with zero downtime across staging and mainnet.
- Performance & Support: Optimize the performance of execution and consensus clients and provide active support to validator operators via Discord.
- Documentation: Create run-books and maintain clear documentation to ensure seamless participation for all operators.
Qualifications
- Experience: 4+ years of experience operating high-availability distributed systems, with direct experience running Proof-of-Stake (PoS) validators on EVM-based chains.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Go and Rust, with the ability to read and debug client code.
- Strong grasp of blockchain protocol-level concepts (e.g., fork-choice, slashing conditions).
- Expertise in Kubernetes/Helm, Terraform, and CI/CD workflows.
- An advanced Linux user with a deep knowledge of networking and security.
- Mindset: A strong passion for observability, with a focus on using logs, metrics, and traces for operational decisions.
- Bonus Skills:
- Experience supporting external validator operators.
- Upstream contributions to execution and consensus clients.
- Experience with GPU workloads or open-source AI models.
- Familiarity with infrastructure partners, custodians, and auditors.

- 문서화: 모든 운영자가 원활하게 참여할 수 있도록 런북(run-book)을 만들고 명확한 문서를 유지 관리합니다.
자격 요건
- 경력: 고가용성 분산 시스템 운영 경험 4년 이상. EVM 기반 체인에서 지분 증명(PoS) 검증자를 직접 운영한 경험이 있어야 합니다.
- 기술:
- Go 및 Rust에 능숙하며, 실행 레이어(EL) 및 합의 레이어(CL) 클라이언트 코드를 읽고 디버깅할 수 있는 능력.
- 포크 선택, 증거 처리, 슬래싱 조건, 상태 동기화 등 프로토콜 수준 개념에 대한 확실한 이해.
- Kubernetes/Helm, Terraform, CI/CD 워크플로우 전문 지식.
- 심층적인 네트워킹 지식과 시스템 강화 및 보안에 중점을 둔 고급 Linux 사용자.
- 마인드: 로그, 메트릭, 트레이스를 모든 운영 결정의 핵심으로 삼는, 관찰 가능성(observability)에 대한 강력한 열정.

- 외부 검증자 운영자 지원 경험.
- 실행 및 합의 클라이언트에 대한 업스트림 기여.
- GPU 워크로드 또는 기타 컴퓨팅 집약적 파이프라인 오케스트레이션 경험.
- 오픈소스 AI 모델 배포, 유지보수, 튜닝 경험.
